Kings Hat Antiques is run by Caroline Craze who has very close family ties with Sweden and travels there to find furniture from the late 18th and 19th centuries. She brings these special, rare and beautiful Swedish antiques to England. This is the original painted furniture from which so many interior designers take their inspiration today, both because of its lovely colours and the way its clean lines and elegance sit so well with contemporary styling. Built from the strong, dense pine peculiar to Northern Scandinavia these pieces were originally commissioned by well-off families from skilled local cabinet-makers. Each piece is bespoke and completely individual, having its own character and story to tell.
