Potters Bar Fine Art was established in 1996 by the husband and wife team of Nigel and Buddy Payne.  Both had a great interest in art for many years prior to then but that year they took the opportunity to start the business.  Their main gallery is within Home & Colonial in Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire, but have in the past, been in the Woburn Abbey Antique Centre, Hertford Antiques, and several others in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Although initially specialising with art of the 19th century and earlier, they have recently moved  more into 20th century and contemporary art.

Textiles

Vicki Mills specialises in antique textiles, and sources a variety of interior decor textiles, ranging from Victorian quilts, Cantonese hand-embroidered shawls, 19th century beadwork and tapestry cushions to linen tablecloths, lace curtains and white cotton Marcella bedspreads.  She also sells collectable pieces of china, 19th / early 20th century furniture, concentrating on useful items for the home, and framed pieces of embroidery, tapestry and samplers.
